I would like to thank Kenneth Massey and John Harrell for giving me permission to use the scores from their respective websites. Their dedicated efforts in compiling scores of thousands of games each year are nothing short of remarkable. Without the results of their efforts, projects such as mine would be impossible.

Many rating systems are variations or combinations of other systems. RAMS is no exception. RAMS can be thought of as a blend between the Simple Rating System and the Z-Rating System (which is an application of the Bradley-Terry Model).
